Facility self-reported with a video to verify complaint alleges that a child was picked up by the back of the shirt and pushed onto the floor by the arm and up against the wall. Video shows child care personnel being rough and throwing a book. FINDINGS: On Wednesday, May 13, 2026 the program director contacted CCLE to report child care personnel (C.W) was observed using an inappropriate method of discipline. As a result, the child received welts on the back of the neck. The licensing monitor viewed video footage of C.W aggressively grabbing the child and forcefully handling them, shoving the child into the corner of the classroom, and pushing the child against the wall. The video also showed C.W snatching a book and toys from the children and throwing the items collected in the opposite corner. The program director stated C.W was immediately terminated as of 5/13/26 and discipline/appropriate practice training will be conducted for all staff. This complaint is substantiated for inappropriate method of discipline was observed through video footage during todays complaint inspection. The child care facility operators, employees, and volunteers must comply with written disciplinary and expulsion policies

A complaint allegation was received on 6/23/2023 alleging that a teacher from another program saw a little boy ( approx. 8 years old) running pass her twice. She saw the boy crying- she asked him what's wrong and the child respond that he was unable to find his camp ( from Creative Learning). She took him to a near by police officer on the grounds who took the child from there. A complaint inspection was conducted on /6/27/2023 and a statement from the director (KP) was received. Per the director (KP), the teacher was taking two children to the restroom (a boy and a girl). The boy (JH 7y/o) came out of the restroom and didnt realize the teacher had popped her head in the girl's restroom to check on the girl. Per the director, the child said that he didn't see the teacher when he came out of the restroom so he immediately began to walk the grounds looking for her and found the officer. The officer saw Ms. E and sent him back to her. She was looking for the boy (Still near the restroom). Director does not know exactly what time the incident happened. (SM from Davie rodeo) called the preschool school around 12:42PM and said that they had one of their kids. Then, she said that the officer already found the group. Per the individual that called the school (SM), she is a preschool personnel from another school. she saw when the police officer was looking for the child's group and decided to call the school to inform them that one of their children was with a police officer and that the police officer had located the group. She believes the child was not alone for long but did not have an exact time. This complaint is substantiated and a non-compliance is being issued for inadequate supervision. A plan of action was requested from the facility with measures that will be taken to prevent future incidents while on a field trip
