The Licensing Specialist (LS) observed food sitting out for more than 15 minutes (Pictures were taken). The staff responsible explained that the food/milk was served, and those children were in ballet class. LS explained to the staff responsible that milk and food should not be out more than 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the meal. The food/milk was then discarded, and new food was served to the children placing this standard back into compliance

Licensing specialist observed in the two year old classroom sippy cups brought from home that were not labeled or only had a first name. The staff responsible was provided TA by the licensing specialist on the requirement for last and first names on cups and bottles brought from home. Bottles and sippy cups brought from home shall be individually labeled with the childs first and last name and shall be returned to the custodial parent or legal guardian daily. The staff responsible then correctly labeled the cups, thus this regulation is marked back into compliance

Program child care personnel signatures may include the director/child care personnel that witnessed the incident, who were involved in the incident, and/or responded to the childs needs. While walking back to class from the playground and inside the facility, a child walked back outside to the playground. The teachers had done their headcount, and the teacher that the Child Care Regulation Counselor spoke to stated that the child had been accounted for. She claims that the child must have gone back out, and the teacher at the back of the line did not notice because she was having an issue with another student. Another staff member heard the child knocking on the door, opened the door for the child, and walked her back to class. This standard is now back in compliance

Ratios were taken at naptime. 1:15 Children age 3 1:1 Infant 1:11 Children age 1 (This is the class that was out of ratio). This was corrected shortly after, by adding another staff member to the class. The new ratio was 2:11 Children age 1. 1:10 Children age 4 1:10 Children age 2 The staff-to-child ratio, as established in Section 402.305(4), F.S., is based on primary responsibility for the direct supervision of children and applies at all times while children are in care. In groups of mixed age ranges, where children one year of age but under two years of age are included, one child care personnel must be responsible for no more than six children of any age group, at all times. Child Care Regulation Counselor gave Technical Assistance to the director and staff in reference to ratios. When Child Care Regulation Counselor (CCRC) got to the classroom CCRC found that the 1 year old class were out of ratio. Shortly after the assistant director came in placing this classroom back in compliance. In addition another teacher also came in the classroom. This standard is back in compliance

All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times. In the staff and parent bathroom that was not locked there was a spray bottle of roach spray sitting on the shower sit and accessible to anyone that opens the unlock door. This was corrected at the time of inspection by the director she removed the chemical spray can and placed it in a locked area of the facility. Photos were taken for the licensing file. TA was provided to ensure that all harmful items are stored in a locked or inaccessible area to children at all times
