13-02 · Toxic Substances, Hazardous Materials and Weapons

Licensing specialist observed hand sanitizer (labeled keep out of reach of children), within the reach of children on a shelve accessible to the children in the three year olds room (Picture was taken). All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a child's reach at all times. Technical Assistance (TA) was given to the staff responsible by the Licensing Specialist explaining that these items must always be inaccessible and out of a childs reach. Items were removed and placed out of reach of children by the staff member, placing this standard back in compliance

    20-06 · Crib Requirements

All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(v), F.A.C. Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding, which includes but is not limited to: bumper pads, hanging mobiles, quilts, comforters, receiving blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and cushions. Hanging mobiles were observed on all cribs in the infant room. CCRC provided TA to the teacher and staff responsible in reference to this (Pictures were taken). Mobiles were removed at time of inspection placing this facility back in compliance

    24-23 · Food Preparation Area

An accurate thermometer designed to measure cold storage temperature must be placed inside each refrigeration and freezer unit. Thermometers in refrigerators must show a reading of 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below, and thermometers in freezers must show a reading of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below. The thermometer must be located in the center of the unit and be readily accessible. Thermometer temperature readings higher than specified above require further temperature testing of food samples stored in the unit using a probe type thermometer; and adjustments to the unit setting to reach and maintain the required readings must be made. The refrigerator in the infant room was missing a thermometer (there was one in the freezer part of the refrigerator). CCRC gave TA to the staff and director in reference to having a thermometer in all refrigerators. A thermometer was place in the refrigerator during this inspection visit, thus this regulation is marked back into compliance
