33-13 · Training Requirements
The staff listed on the Supplemental Sheet started working on 2/23/24 and had not completed the new SR training courses. She completed them during this inspection. Technical support was provided. 18 Training Requirements 18.1 Pre-service Timeframe All pre-service training requirements listed below must be completed by all program personnel, volunteers and substitutes, each as defined in this handbook, within 90 days of initial employment with any provider participating in the school readiness program. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another school readiness provider within this 90 days. Personnel who have not completed all pre-service training requirements may not be allowed any unsupervised contact with or care of children in a school readiness program. *Technical support was provided regarding the new School Readiness Training Requirements for ALL Child Care Personnel to be completed by 6/30/24. New SR health & safety courses will be available January 1, 2024. All SR personnel who completed DCF training or Early Leaning FL (ELFL) health & safety modules must take these two new courses by June 30, 2024: • Safety in the School Readiness Program (5 hours) • Health & Nutrition in the School Readiness Program (4 hours) You can use these courses towards the annual in-service training requirement. Formal Education/Competency Exam Exemption will require SR personnel to complete preservice training

33-03 · Training Requirements
The two staff listed on the Supplemental sheet has been working over 90 days and not started the required DCF Introductory 40-hour training. Technical support provided. 4.1 Beginning Training Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished byclassroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. The child care program is responsible for obtaining training documentation from child care personnel
