CCRC observed 3 molded sand bags sitting on the wooden bench by the playground, and another molded sand bag by the playground fence. CCRC observed a broken green swing with the chain attached to it. Director informed CCRC that they will remove these bag in a place that is not accessible by children. TA was provided director will bring this are into compliance by the given due date. CCRC also observed that the soap dispenser by the out door sink next to the playground is dispensing rusty liquid soap. CCRC had the rusty liquid on hands when trying to wash hands. Director informed CCRC that these sinks are not in use. TA was provided Director will shut the water valve and empty the soap by due date. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1 General Health and Safety Requirements A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months

CCRC observed a teacher in the one-year-old classroom forcefully pulling a child hand and forcing the child to sit down. Teacher walked up grabbed the child hand pulling and forced him to sit down, she then stood up an saw CCRC watching her. CCRC Provided technical assistant, talked to teacher and notified the Director. TA: Teachers can benefit from taking the free course: Challenging Behavior: It's in the Water!
