At the time of inspection, licensing specialist observed and photographed that one of the toilets in the restroom off the art room needed cleaning. There was feces and urine on the rim of the toilet bowl. Director had staff clean the restroom while children were napping and not in the art area bringing this back onto compliance. TA Each toilet and sink must be maintained in good operating condition, cleaned and sanitized or disinfected as needed, but at least once per day. Sinks utilized for teeth brushing activities/procedures by the children must be sanitized prior to the activity occurring

At the time of inspection, licensing specialist observed the teacher with activity plans were laid out on the diapering pad. The teacher did move all items off the pad at the time of inspection bringing this back into compliance. TA Items unrelated to diaper changing shall not be stored in the diaper changing area nor shall they be placed on the diaper changing table

32-3: During the inspection, Child Care Regulation observed one outdoor play equipment was not in good repair in that the large climber had a metal rod under the walking platform detached on one side sticking out and 1 screw was missing on the top slide on the Preschool side. During the inspection, Child Care Regulation provided technical assistance, All playground equipment must be securely anchored, unless portable or stationary by design, in good repair, maintained in safe and sanitary condition, and placed to ensure safe use by the children. Maintenance must include inspections conducted every month of all supports above and below the ground and of all connectors and moving parts. Documentation of maintenance inspections must be maintained for 12 months

23 10 hours of annual in-service training. 33-1: During the inspection, Child Care Regulation observed 1 child care personnel that did not complete the DCF 40 hours of introductory training within 12 months of starting the DCF courses, exceeding 15 months. During the inspection, Child Care Regulation provided technical assistance, Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins.
