REMINDER: 10 hours of annual in-service training must be completed by the license expiration, 12/22/2025. 7-11: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed the owner, and the substitute did not have the School Readiness Pre-Service training completed. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, School Readiness Program Health and Safety Standards Handbook 3.1 Child care personnel must successfully complete the preservice training coursework described in this section, as applicable. All child care personnel must complete these preservice training requirements within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another School Readiness provider within this initial 90 days. Personnel who have not completed all preservice training requirements are not allowed any unsupervised contact with or care of children in a School Readiness program

During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed the owner CPR training did not include an on-site instructor-based skills assessment and is invalid for the individual. The owner did do a course that was online but did not include the skills assessment. The owner was given until December 20, 2024, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Counselor provided technical assistance, FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 5.1.1, C Operators and Substitutes. C. Have certificate(s) of course completion for pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures and first aid training, which must be current and valid at all times. Certificates of course completion are valid based on the time frames established by each first aid and CPR training program, not to exceed three years. CPR courses must include an on-site instructor-based skills assessment that shall be documented by the certified CPR instructor. Documentation of completion of the online course and on-site assessment must be maintained at the home and available for review by the licensing authority

During the inspection, Licensing specialist observed that the pool water was green and you could not see to the bottom of the pool. The owner was given until December 20, 2024, to come into compliance with this standard. If a home has a swimming pool and/or spa, it shall be maintained by using chlorine or other suitable chemicals.
