During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed the facility did not have up to date vehicle inspection. The last inspection was done on 9/13/23. The director was given until November 21, 2024, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, SACCF Handbook, Section 2.5.4 A Vehicle Requirements A. All vehicles regularly used to transport children must be inspected annually by a mechanic to ensure that they are in proper working order. 28-03 · Training Requirements SACCF Handbook
During the time of inspection, the Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 6 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 6 of the 6 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025.Counselor reviewed 10 hours of annual in-service, completed, for all child care personnel for the 2023/2024 fiscal year. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the licensing specialist observed one personnel did not start her 40- DCF hour training within the first 90 days in the child care industry. The director stated that the employee has not been working since the hurricane and she will not be working until she has started her classes. The director brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, SACCF Handbook Section 4.1 Beginning Training Child care personnel must begin training within 90 days of employment and successfully complete the Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframe begins at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. The child care program is responsible for obtaining training documentation from child care personnel

At time of inspection one staff member did not have current first aid certificate. Be sure to have staff member trained in First Aid by due date. TA Certificates of course completion are valid based on the time frames established by each first aid training and CPR certification program, not to exceed three years
