21-5: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 potty chair that was not sanitized/disinfected after use in that there was still urine in the potty chair. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the cook was not wearing a head cover when they were prepping the food. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided the cook with an extra hair net. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistant, Handbook, Section 3.9.1, B Child care personnel, while working in the food preparation area, must wear proper head covering, such as a hair net or hat. 33-01 · Training Requirements
During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 child care personnel did not test out of the DCF 40 hours of the introductory training within 12 months of starting the DCF 40 hours of introductory training. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. The child care program is responsible for obtaining training documentation from child care personnel

33-01 · Training Requirements
At the time of inspection licensing specialist observed introductory training was not completed by one staff member. Be sure to complete introductory trainings by due date. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Mandated Introductory Training Childcare personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of childcare training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Childcare personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004, are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A. Part I Courses (30 Hours) Childcare personnel must complete all of the following: Child Care Facility Rules and Regulations Health, Safety and Nutrition ,Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Child Growth and Development Behavioral Observation and Screening B. Part II Courses (10 Hours) Child care personnel must also complete 10 hours of the following Part II courses: Special Needs Appropriate Practices (10 hours), or Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices (5 hours) and one of the following courses: 1. 35-12 · Communicable Disease Control
At the time of inspection Licensing Specialist observed documentation for newly enrolled staff member did not have exposure plan training prior to starting work. • During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6 Health Requirements There are three common modes of transmission for the spread of microorganisms in child care settings: contact, droplet, and airborne. Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. Personnel are required to be educated on the facilitys exposure plan regarding standard precautions before beginning to work and annually thereafter. Written documentation that child care personnel have participated in the facilitys annual refresher education for the exposure plan and understand the proper procedures in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids must be retained for 12 months and be available for licensing to review
