During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that there were 2 child care personnel that did not complete the School Readiness Pre-Service training within 90 days of working at the facility. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, School Readiness Program Health and Safety Standards Handbook 3.1 Child care personnel must successfully complete the preservice training coursework described in this section, as applicable. All child care personnel must complete these preservice training requirements within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider. This timeframe does not start over if personnel change employment to another School Readiness provider within this initial 90 days. Personnel who have not completed all preservice training requirements are not allowed any unsupervised contact with or care of children in a School Readiness program

During the inspection, Child Care Regulation observed 3 employees that did not have documentation stating that the exposure plan was reviewed before starting work. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, There are three common modes of transmission for the spread of microorganisms in child care settings: contact, droplet, and airborne. Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. Personnel are required to be educated on the facility's exposure plan regarding standard precautions before beginning to work and annually thereafter. Written documentation that child care personnel have participated in the facility's annual refresher education for the exposure plan and understand the proper procedures in the event there is exposure to blood, and potentially infectious fluids must be retained for 12 months and be available for licensing to review (CCF Handbook, p. 53)

During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 5.1, D (page 51) The employer/owner/operator must conduct employment history checks, including documented attempts to contact each employer that employed the individual within the preceding five years, and documentation of the findings. Documentation must include the applicants job title and description of his/her regular duties, confirmation of employment dates, and level of job performance. The employer/owner/operator must make at least three attempts to obtain employment history information. Failed attempts to obtain employment history must be documented in the personnel file and include date, time, and the reason the information was not obtained
