At the time of reinspection, the Licensing specialist observed the pink stationary outdoor equipment with slide with the slide repainted blue. The specialist observed some of the rust still on the end of the slide. The specialist suggested the provider apply another coat of paint or apply a rust remover and then repaint the equipment. Also, the blue metal climbing equipment with barrel the specialist observed paint still chipping and in need of painting. The provider advised that she will repaint the equipment. At the time of inspection, the Licensing specialist observed the mixed open classroom of one, two and three year old children watching educational videos on a tablet while conducting ratio. The specialist reviewed all present childrens files to verify accurate ages of the children and determined that the classroom had a one year old children present. The staff verbally stated all children were two years old but based on the childrens files and date of birth the children were of mixed ages. The specialist advised the staff to either turn the program off or eliminate the media and just use the audio by placing the tablet down or around in position where children can not view it. At the time of inspection, the Licensing specialist observed the tin roof on the childrens playground near the second building placed up against the fence apart from the shed. The provider advised that the roof came down from the recent hurricane. The provider has notified the owner of the building to repair. The provider also advised that the children occasionally have been playing on the playground. The specialist asked the provider to remove the tin material from the playground until the shed can be repaired to eliminate a potential hazard to children in care.
