On September 15, 2023, a complaint was called into the Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line and was not accepted for investigation by the Institutional Abuse Unit (IAU). The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received the complaint on September 15, 2023, and accepted it for concerns of improper discipline. A visit was conducted on September 27, 2023. Based on the information received, this complaint is unsubstantiated. Ms. Samuel informed Licensing Specialist (LS) Hackett that her family child care home was closed as of September 11, 2023, due to renovations. Parent #1 confirmed Child #1 did not attend child care the week of the alleged incident, and Ms. Samuel denied all allegations.
