On January 15, 2024, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding concerns of improper discipline, not meeting the meal pattern requirements, and the menu not matching the food served. This complaint is Substantiated for not meeting the meal pattern requirements and the menu not matching the food served, as Ms. Smith admitted to serving Child #1 snacks, instead of serving the meal prepared for the rest of the children without written parental permission or a list of foods to substitute. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for improper discipline as Ms. Smith denied all allegations and stated she would never curse at or hit a child. The children present at this visit were not old enough to be interviewed.
