On August 8, 2022, OCCL received a complaint regarding children being hidden from view when the State visits, a child being raped, a threatening unreported dog, having too many children, having a drug addict daughter who is violent, and having a flat iron present that burned a child. On August 11, 2022, LS Brady and LS Burks conducted a full investigation of the child care space, as well as all other rooms in the home. The home was clean, and organized, and all Delacare Regulations were being followed by the provider. Each child in care had a complete file, and no dog was observed in the home. Ms. Perez updated her parent handbook to include watching her daughter s dog, and immunization records were provided to OCCL to show the dog was current with her vaccinations. All parents signed this amendment to the policy, and did not mind that Ms. Perez could possibly watch her daughter s dog when her daughter was on vacation. All allegations made against Ms. Perez were not substantiated, and Ms. Perez feels as though she is being targeted by her granddaughter s mother because of the court custody order for her grandchild.
