[19a-87b-9(d)(2)] · Fasteners for doors to cupboards, closets and rooms shall be designed so that it is impossible for a child to become locked in the enclosed area. Every room used for child care or capable of access by children, when provided with a door latch or lock, shall be of a type that children can open from the inside and each lock shall be designed to permit opening of the locked door from the outside in an emergency. [19a-87b-10(d)(3)] · The provider shall maintain in the family child care home a written individual plan of care for each child with disabilities or special health care needs who requires special care be taken or provided while the child is at the family child care home. Such plan shall be developed with the child’s parent(s) and health care provider at intake, implemented and updated as necessary. Such plan shall include appropriate care of the child in the event of a medical or other emergency and shall be signed by the provider, parent(s) and any approved staff members responsible for the care of the child.
