Such plan shall be developed with the child’s parent(s) and health care provider at intake, implemented and updated as necessary. Such plan shall include appropriate care of the child in the event of a medical or other emergency and shall be signed by the provider, parent(s) and any approved staff members responsible for the care of the child.

When outdoor play space does not exist at the facility, the provider shall identify alternate outdoor play space and develop a written plan that ensures the safe transportation of children to and from the alternate outdoor play space. The outdoor play space shall be protected from traffic, bodies of water, gullies, and other hazards by barriers, which effectively bar access in a manner safe for children.
