2.411.B.3 · In order to administer medications, all health care workers, except physicians and registered nurses, must complete the Department-approved Medication Administration Training, receive delegation and hold current Department-approved First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.

Staffers Julie R., and Nathaniel G., had proof of a completed medication administration course with the nurse but a copy of their delegation was not present. Correction: Staff who are assigned to give emergency mediations to children must have a signed delegation from the nurse. Correct by 06/17/2024

2.413.B · At least ten (10) calendar days prior to admission, each camper must furnish a health history which indicates communicable diseases and chronic illnesses or injuries the individual has had, any known drug reactions and allergies, medications being taken, and any necessary health procedures or special diets.

One (1) out of five (5) child files did not have a current health history prior to the travel trip. Correction: Camps must obtain a health history at least ten (10) days prior to admission. Correct by 06/17/2024

2.413.E · The camper must submit documentation of immunization status or exemption as required by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). Up-to-date school-required immunizations must be documented as specified on the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment certificate of immunization or on an “approved alternate” Certificate of Immunization, defined in Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment regulation at 6 CCR 1009-2:VI(A), (May 15, 2023), no later editions or amendments are incorporated. These regulations are available from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment at no cost at https://www.coloradosos.gov/CCR/Welcome.do. These regulations are also available for public inspection and copying at the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, 710 S. Ash St., Denver, CO 80246, during regular business hours. Colorado law requires proof of immunization or exemption be provided prior to or on the first day of admission.
