Sleeping quarters of the counselors must be within sight or hearing distance of the sleeping quarters of the children whom they supervise. Children may sleep alone for specific program functions such as solos or survival experiences and then only when regularly monitored pursuant to the camp's written program. The camp’s written program must include an audible mechanism for a camper to alert a staff member who is able to immediately respond.
