2.411.B · Prior to working with campers all staff members and regular volunteers must complete a Department-approved training about child abuse prevention, including common symptoms and signs of child abuse, how to report, where to report, and when to report suspected or known child abuse or neglect. 2.413.J.1 · Medication prescribed for campers must be from a licensed pharmacy; labeled with the name, address, and phone number of the pharmacy; name of the camper; name and strength of the medicine; directions for use; date filled; prescription number; and the name of the practitioner prescribing the medicine. When no longer needed or expired, the medication must be returned to the parent or disposed of properly.

One camper that was prescribed over-the-counter medication was observed not to be in an original container and did not have a health care plan signed and dated by a licensed health care provider. Correction: The camp must require all campers that are prescribed over-the-counter medication to be in an original container and did not have a health care plan signed and dated by a licensed health care provider.
