If an existing individualized health care plan is provided for the child, it must be reviewed and followed by the center staff when caring for the child. If the child does not have an existing individualized health care plan, the individualized health care plan must be obtained by the child’s first (1st) day of care.
Reviewed health care plans for two children enrolled. Identified both plans require children have two medications. Observed no evidence of one of the medications available to staff for both children. Identified staff cannot follow health care plans without access to this medication. Correction: Immediately obtain appropriate medication so staff can follow the individualized health care plans. Observed a child, enrolled in the after school program, on top of the horizontal ladder at time of inspection. Correction: Immediately ensure outdoor play areas provided by the Center do not have equipment exceeding 6 feet in height for any surface area intended for children's play.
