2.220.A · Any unexpired routine medication, prescription or non-prescription (over the counter), must be administered only with a current written order of a health care provider with prescriptive authority and with written parental consent. Home remedies, homeopathic medication, vitamins, and supplements must not be administered to children in child care.

Reviewed childrens' health care plans and observed one health care plan to be expired and observed the medications to be expired posing a potential safety hazard. Correction: Obtain current written order of a health care provider with prescriptive authority and with written parental consent, and unexpired medications for all children as required.
