information obtained by LPA during interviews with staff Director stated she will review section 101223(a)(2), Personal Rights and train her staff on maintaining a safe environment for children in care. Training outline and a staff sign in sheet to be submitted to the Fresno Community Care Licensing Office by 11/22/21. Training to include viewing of Community Care Licensing Video titled "Children's Personal Rights in Child Care". Staff interviewed indicated that Child #1, over a period of several months, consistently hit other children, yelled at staff, and disrupted classroom activities. information obtained by LPA during interviews with staff Director Hernandez stated she will create an specialized action plan for Child #1 pertaining to the methods staff will utilize in an effort to decrease inappropriate behavior displayed by the aforementioned child. In addition, Licensee stated she will revise the facility's Parent's Handbook to include a description of the type of discipline that will be used at the facility going forward, and under what condition each type will be used. Staff interviewed reported several incidents involving a child in care hitting other children and yelling at staff over the period of several months. LPA determined that the licensee failed to establish a policy or plan to mitigate these behaviors, resulting in the behaviors persisting. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
