Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (9) Each family child care home shall have a written disaster plan of action prepared on a form approved by the Department. Effective Immediately, licensee agrees to adhere to the regulations and provide care and supervision, including visual observation at all times. Licensee will watch two videos from the CCLD website regarding Personal Rights & care and Supervision, send email to LPA once completed by 12/7/24. Based on the interviews, the licensee did not comply with the section sited above, in that a child was left a car alone unsupervised which posed an immediate health, safety or personal risk to children in care. An immediate civil penalty $500 was assessed.

On 02/14/2023, one child, aged 2, was out of the sight of Licensee for approx. 25 minutes Licensee has secured the gate by adding a new velcro strap to prevent the children from easily opening the gate. Licensee stated she will sit near the gate moving forward when sitting permits. Licensee will be required to attend an office meeting without supervision when the child got out of the gate and was spotted by a witness on the corner of Forbes and Sherman Way and crossed the street on their own. An immediate civil penalty of $500 has been assessed for Absence of Supervision. An immediate risk to the health and safety of the children involved. A Type A citation has been cited.
