101226(e)(6) · Health-Related Services. When no longer needed by the child...all medications shall be returned to the child's authorized representative or disposed of after an attempt to reach the authorized representative.
Administrator Kris Thewes stated that the medication would be returned to the parent on 10/8/2021. Administrator agreed to submit written statement to the Department after correction has been completed. Nonprescription medication which is no longer needed by Child 1 after 9/3/2021 is stored at the facility. As stated by administrator Kris Thewes, the medication was only needed for one day on 9/3/2021. Storing no longer needed medication in the facility presents potential risks to the child's health and safety.
