101220(a) · Child's Medical Assessments (a) Prior to, or within 30 calendar days following the enrollment of a child, the licensee shall obtain a written medical assessment of the child. LPA observed that the facility has made faucet “A" inaccessible and sample site "B" has been capped off and permanently removed. D1 stated that the facility replace faucet “A”, is flushing it and will retest, submitting results to amy.strother@dss.ca.gov by 02/10/23. Based on record review, the facility had two faucets (Site “A” and “C”) that exceeded that allowable levels of lead in the water (5.6 and 9.4 ppb). This is a potential health and safety risk to children in care. D1 stated children in care are receiving drinking water from individual water bottles from home or disposable cups refilled/filled from the refrigerator water dispenser.
