101238(a)(1) · 101238 Buildings and Grounds (a)The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. (1)The licensee shall take measures to keep the center free of flies, other insects, and rodents. Center Director had the facility fumigated on 07/18/23. Center Director has a trap set in the back of Classroom 5 for the cats. Center Director will continue to have staff do incident reports and notify parents and disinfect classrooms. Custodians will vaccum classrooms when children are outside playing and switch vacuum bags from one classroom to the next.
Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. During today's inspection LPA observed and gathered information that facility has a flea outbreak which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
