Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (10) A baby walker shall not be allowed on the premises of a family child care home in accordance with Health and Safety Code Sections 1596.846(b) and (c).

  Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA observed one baby bouncer in the family room and three in the children's nap room. LPA reminded Licensee that baby walkers, bouncers and similar items are not allowed in family child care homes. Licensee removed the bouncers from the on limit areas during today's inspection. POC Due Date: 04/10/2026

  Deficient Practice Statement Based on obsrvation, interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above for four infants (C1, C2, C3 and C6) which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Licensee is not conducting 15 minute nap checks for four infants in care. LPA reviewed safe sleep regulations with Licensee and advised Licensee that even though they are in the same room as the sleeping infants they are required to conduct and document the 15 minute sleep checks.
