Prior to any alteration, the licensee shall notify the Department of any change from an area of the home previously identified as “off limits” to an area where care and supervision will be provided to children in care. LPA observed during the Annual inspection that was conducted on 3/3/26 the facility was utilizing the Garage as a space for child care. Facility will stop the use of the Garage space immediately. The licensee will submit a written plan that will be dated and signed indicating and understating that the garage will not be in use and will only be used for the bathroom and changing table purposes, as they are located in the garage. Licensee requested some time to re-organize the space for child care. LPA will conduct a follow-up inspection to ensure that the garage is not in use. LPA provided the licensee a copy of the CAL FIRE-Office of the state Fire Marshal Information Bulleting 20-008 Guidance for Family Day Care Homes.
