The facility has changed the nap room to including cribs and changed the facility’s policy on infant safe sleep. POC was cleared during today’s visit 01/27/2025. Based on interviews with LS, D1 & S1 admitted the facility allowed infants under 1 year old to sleep on cots/mats. Also LPAs observed an infant on a cot/mat which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

101427(h) · 101427 Infant Care Food Service: (h) Infants who are unable to hold a bottle shall be held by a staff person or other adult for bottle feeding. At no time shall a bottle be propped for an infant. An infant shall not be allowed to carry a bottle while ambulatory.

Licensee stated she will submit doumenation on the facility's policy on boppy pillows with LS siguature. The doumenation will be submitted to LPA by 02/10/2025. Based on interviews with LS and D1 amitted staff use boppy pillows to assist staff to prop up infants when feeding milk bottles to them, which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.
