  101223(a)(3) · 101223 Personal Rights(a)The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (3)To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to: interference with functions of daily living including eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding of shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning.

  L1 stated she will create a written protocol for how staff are to handle children that are presenting physically challenging behavior and conduct staff training. L1 will submit protocol to LPA Strother by 05/03/24. Based on interview with L1, L1 admitted to pushing C1 in an isolated incident, as a method of handling C1’s undesired behavior, which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
