101429(a)(1) · 101429 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision for Infants (a) In addition to Section 101229, the following shall apply: (1) Each infant shall be constantly supervised and under direct visual observation and supervision by a staff person at all times. Director met with staff to discuss incident and retrained staff on utilizing the Teacher Child Ratio Log that all teachers utilize. Facility will also implement different check point where staff confirms children in attendance.
, per LPA Laureano's investigative interviews, facility left a child unattended for approximately 5-7 minutes in the infant yard near the house area, without visual supervision on an undisclosed day in July of 2024, which poses an immediate health and safety risks to persons in care Director agrees to train staff on visional and auditory supervision during the use of the preschool yard going over potential scenarios and will submit meeting points to LPA via email.
