Once the training has been completed, site director will provide a copy of the attendance sheet and any training materials in regarding transition process and supervision, and process to account for when children are leaving the playyard. Though interviews and observations, children were left outside in the playground with out supervision, which posed an immediate risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care. A daycare child, C1, exited the playground unnoticed by staff and had gone out the gate. This poses an immediate risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care Because the facility has been cited for repeating the same violation within 12 months, an immediate civil penalty of $1000 was assessed. She further states that parents have been reminded to keep the classroom door closed. The Licensee did not ensure that children are supervised at all times. Since the incident occurred, the Site Director has met with all staff members regarding the importance of headcounts, utilizing walkie talkies, and giving children reminders prior to transitions. 101216.1(c)(1)(A) · 101216.1 Teacher Qualifications and Duties (c) to be a fully qualified teacher, a teacher shall have one of the following: (1) Twelve-post secondary semester... units in early childhood education...
