Director reported, the drinking fountain in exceedance was permanently removed on 2/7/23. Prior to removal, the drinking fountain was covered to make it inaccessible to children and staff. On 02/02/2023, licensee failed to maintain a lead value at or below the Action Level for water lead testing resulting with values of 5.5 ppb or greater for: Classroom #4 Drinking Fountain. Water testing results identified with Action Level Exceedance as defined in WD section 101700.3. are not deemed safe to drink. The facility provides filtered water in age-appropriate cups to the children. Food preparation takes place in the kitchen using water which meets state requirements. Deficiency has been corrected. The director states that she will provide a written statement to Community Care Licensing confirming that the department will be notified of any alterations or construction to the building in the future. The letter will be sent to LPA via email by POC due date of 9/2/22. Based on LPA's observation and the Director's statement two floor to ceiling walls were added to room #4 to create a separate family meeting room and diaper changing/hand washing area.
