The Director stated that she will have a staff training regarding qualifications for infant staff to ensure there is alwayas fully qualified staff at all times. The Director will also provide a statement that explains how they will ensure the qualified infant staff is available for infants in care. Based on observation and staff interviews, the licensee did not meet the above requirement in that 7 infants were observed with two staff members that do not have any infant units. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to the children in care. The Director put a fully qualified teacher in Toddler A classroom before end of visit on 10/3/24. She is also implementing a scholarship program to prevent this in the future. Based on observation and staff interviews conducted by LPAs, 6 infants were being cared for by 2 unqualified staff. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to the children in care.

Licensee stated that she will switch the room back to what was originally approved as per STD850 fire inspection by 10/15/24 and submit proof to the Dept. Room 1 is currently being used for infants but was previously approved for use under the Preschool License.
