Assistant Prinicipal, Rocio Sainz, stated that she will ensure that no aides are left alone supervising children. Miss Sainz also stated that she will provide unqualified staff resources on how to get reimbursed for pursing the required education to be a fully quailfied teacher. LPA confirmed that no aides were supervising children alone at the time of the inspection. Based on file review and staff interviews, it was found that (S1) and (S2) supervised children alone at various times, in multiple classrooms, without the direct supervision of a fully qualified teacher. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to the children in care.

Based on a file review and staff interviews, it was found that staff member(S1) was smoking inside the day care facility, which posed an immediate Health, Safety, or Personal Rights risk to the children in care.

The director states that the staff member (S2) responsible for supervising C1 has been terminated. The director also states that she will hold a staff meeting on 3/16/23 to discuss supervision. The director will send LPA a copy of the meeting agenda and staff in sheet via email by 3/17/23. Based on interviews conducted by LPA, on 3/2/23 a child, C1 was left unattended/unsupervised next to a bench outside of the facility next to the parking lot.
