101223(a)(3) · 101223 Personal Rights (a)The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (3)To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature including but not limited to: interference with functions of daily living including eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding of shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning.

by The director stated that since the incident, all emergency backpacks taken out for filed trips have two extra sets of clothing purchaced by facility. A meeting with all staff was also conducted where Personal Rights regulations were discussed. Director also ensured all staff was aware of where restrooms are located at park where incident occurred. Based on interviews, obtained information, and record review, the facility did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care. Staff member involved has also received a written write up. The two present supervising staff for Kings Classroom have also received verbal warnings.
