… Licensee immediately removed the blanket from the child. Licensee stated that she will explain to the mother that the child cannot be swaddled while in care. Based upon LPAs observation at the facility, a 6-month infant was sleeping in a playpen and was completely swaddled (unable to move his arms) which is an immediate health, safety and personal rights risk to children in care. Licensee will provide a written statement that she will not swaddle children in care and understands that it is a Type A citation.
