The Site Supervisor is going to conduct an active supervision and room counting training, She will ensure staff watch the Supervising Children in Child Care Centers on CCLD website, Active Supervision and Outside Play - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFhYY5wDhZM , Based on documentation, video footage and interviews, the facility staff did not comply with the section cited above, as a child was left unattended in the classroom for approximately 2 minutes before the director found the child in the classroom. This poses an immediate health, safety, and personal rights risk to persons in care. Director stated that by 11/17/23, an in-service training will be provided to discuss and remind staff to implement child transition procedures. Director also stated a more formal training on transitions will be scheduled by 12/8/23. Director stated she will submit a training outline and a copy of the staff sign-in sheet to the San Diego Regional Office by 12/22/23. Based on interviews conducted, record review and video footage review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above when a child was left alone in the bathroom which poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.
