102416.5(f) · This is an amended version of the report that was created on 01/14/2026. 102416.5(f) The total licensed capacity for a Large Family Child Care Home shall not exceed fourteen children.
Licensee had a parent pick up two of the daycare children. Licensee stated that a parent had to go to the hospital. Licensee submitted a written statement of her understanding of this regulation. Licensee stated she will watch the capacity CCL video and submit a summary of what she learned by email by 01/16/2026. Based on Licensee’s own admission, LPA's observations, and records reviewed, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above by providing care to 15 children at one time, which exceeds the capacity of a large license, which posed an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Licensee stated she will also submit a weekly log schedule with the names & date of birth of the children they care for at the home. This log will help them keep track of the number of children that are in care on any given day and not exceed the license capacity. Licensee stated the above documentation will be submitted the SDRO by 02/13/26 by email.

102421(c) · Child's Records (c) In any case in which the licensee cares for an additional child pursuant to Section 102416.5(b) for a Small Family Child Care Home or Section 102416.5(d) for a Large Family Child Care Home, the licensee shall maintain, in the child’s record, a copy of documentation verifying the child’s enrollment and attendance at kindergarten, including transitional kindergarten, or elementary school as required in Section 102416.5(g).
Deficient Practice Statement Based on interview, record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in by not having children's school enrollment verification for 6 out of 6 children enrolled which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
