101236(a) · (a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors.
The facility had a PG&E techninician do an inspection of the facility and relit the stove pilot. Per PG&E technician, there were no gas readings found. Director also notified staff members and implemented daily morning checks for the stove pilot light. Based on the LPA's discussion with facility director and documents provided, the facility had a pilot light out which gave a gas odor within the facility which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA also discussed with Director to submit an unusual incident report regarding this matter. LPA suggested to the director to create the daily check log of the stove pilot light. Deficiency cited today will be cleared.
