Director conducted a staff meeting on 12/08/2023, reinforcing importance of supervision. Director also implemented additional, classroom transitional protocols that includes documenting the time and location of a child when transitioning. Based on record review and interview which were conducted, C1 was left unattended on the playground and unsupervised by staff. Facility was previously issued a citation 05/24/2023 for a staff member's inappropriate interaction with a child in care. Based on interviews, a staff member has been observed to yell at a child and has been observed to forcibly sit a child down to eat lunch. At least one staff member handled a day care child in a rough manner. Staff meeting was previously held 06/21/2023 reinforcing staff responsibilities and children’s personal rights. Deficiency previously cleared. Deficiency today is cleared.

Staff meeting will be conducted to address appropriate interactions with children. Based on interviews, a staff member has been observed to yell at a child, has forcibly sat a child down to eat lunch, and has placed their arm over a child to lay down and sleep. At least one staff member has had an inappropriate interaction with a child in care. This poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care. Meeting agenda, topics discussed, staff attendance and signatures, will be sent to LPA no later than 06/23/2023 by 5:00pm.
