Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as nine children were observed in a room upstairs. LPAs also observed a separate room that has supplies and furniture setup for use by children, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care as licensee has not informed the Department that made the upstairs accessible to children in care. Temporary absences shall not exceed 20 percent of the hours that the facility is providing care per day. Licensee stated she will spend more time at the facility. She will write a statement and submit to CCLD stating she understands and will adhere to regulatory requirements.

This is an immediate risk to children LPA explained and gave a copy of the LIC 9224 at time of inspection. If POC is not corrected on or before the POC date of 7/21/2023 a civil penalty may be accessed.
