    101229(a)(1) · Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation.

Director held a staff meeting with current staff regarding new protocols for supervision of children. There will be a designated staff to supervise the bathroom area. Staff will conduct census checks every 15 minutes. by an Unusual Incident Report received on 01/20/202. Facility self-reported that on 01/16/2026 Child 1 and Child 2 eloped from the facility unsupervised. The children were found at the residence of Child 1 approximately 30 minutes after the facility was aware the children were not present. This posed an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care. Doors from the bathroom that open to the street will now be locked.
