101700.3(b)(2) · Licensees shall maintain a lead value at or below the Action Level of 5.5 ppb in all outlets subject to the testing requirements of these Written Directives, for the health and safety of children in care.

The licensee stated that she will temporarily remove the faucet from service by turning off the water supply and taping up the faucet so staff have no way of using it. The licensee stated that she does not currently have any children enrolled. The licensee stated that she will remediate and retest faucet "A" and submit results to CCLD. Based on results obtained from the California State Water Resource Control Board, faucet "A" in the center's kitchen tested at a value above the allowable action level for lead content. Faucet “A” had a value of 38ppb, which exceeds the allowable value of 5.5ppb as defined in WD section 101700.3. This poses a potential health and safety risk to individuals in care.
