102417(a) · Operation of A Family Child Care Home (a) The licensee shall be present in the home and shall ensure that children in care are supervised at all times. When circumstances require the licensee to be temporarily absent from the home, the licensee shall arrange for a substitute adult to care for and supervise the children during his/her absence. Temporary absences shall not exceed 20 percent of the hours that the facility is providing care per day.

Deficient Practice Statement Based on LPA's inspection and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. When LPA arrived at 12:00 pm, assistant Ziba Zendehdel stated that licensee Azita Khodaie had been at a doctor's appointment since 11:15 am. Licensee had not returned to the home by the end of LPA inspection, which is past 20% of licencee's operating hours (7:00am-5:30pm) which were established on 07/12/2018. POC Due Date: 06/21/2024
