LPA discussed with Director to ensure items that could pose a danger are stored inaccessible to children. Staff members immediately placed the knives in areas inaccessible to children during the visit. Based on observations, LPA observed knives in unlocked drawers which poses an immediate safety risk to children in care. One knife was located inside a drawer of one classroom with a broken lock. Another knife was located inside an unlocked drawer with the key attached.
