101216(a) · 101216 Personnel Requirements (a) Child care center personnel shall be competent to provide the services necessary to meet the individual needs of children in care and shall at all times be employed in numbers sufficient to meet those needs.
The licensee agrees to ensure that all staff are properly trained and competent to meet children’s health and safety needs, including emergency‑preparedness procedures. The following corrective actions will be taken:All staff will receive comprehensive emergency‑disaster training, including procedures for fire, evacuation, relocation, communication, and staff responsibilities during emergencies.Training will be completed through a formal in‑service session and documented with staff signatures and training materials. Based on the evidence obtained, including interviews and the admissions of S1 and S2, it was determined that staff are not properly trained for emergency disasters, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The facility’s Disaster and Mass Casualty Plan will be reviewed with all staff to ensure understanding of roles and expectations.The licensee will implement an ongoing system to ensure annual refresher training and orientation for new hires. Documentation of completed training will be submitted to the LPA by the POC due date.

The licensee shall obtain specific instructions from the authorized representative regarding action to be taken. Facility agrees to discuss reporting requierment with staff to ensure staff is following requiered staff and modify "ouchie report" to add date/time called. Facility will email a statement of talking points and staff who were present by 6/30/2023 This requierment was not met as evidence of parent interviews stating that they were not called when child sustained a head injury.
