101216.3(a) · 101216.3(a) Teacher-Child Ratio There shall be a ratio of one teacher visually observing and supervising no more than 12 children in attendance, except as specified in (b) and (c) below.

Facility agrees to develop and implement a plan to make sure that they have enough staff to meet the minimum ratio requirements throughout the day. Licensee will submit the developed plan in writing to LPA via email by the POC due date. Based on LPA observations the facility did not comply with the section cited above. From 12:15pm to 12:45pm LPA Castellanos observed 8 children with one staff member (S4), identified as a teacher assistant by Lead Teacher C. Hsu and staff member themselves. Then at 12:35pm LPA Castellanos enter the Big and Middle classrooms and observed 18 children of whom were awake with just one staff member S3. Around 12:45pm staff member S2 enter the classroom, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
