The Director provided LPA Caro with evidence the facility had pest control romove the rodent, the janitorial service deep cleaned the room, and the staff treated the smell with essential oils and medicinal grade lavender oil diffused to eliminate and mask the smell. POC cleared by visit. Based on interviews conducted it was determined that the facility had been having an odor in one of the classrooms due to a dead rodent in the wall which posed a potential risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of children in care.
