  101238(a)(1) · (a)The childcare center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. (1)The licensee shall take measures to keep the center free of flies, other insects, and rodents. Licensee agrees to provide proof of the date and time of professional cleaning for the whole facility, including a Pest Control/Rodent extermination invoice with an assessment of the rodents’ situation. In addition, a weekly cleaning schedule is required to avoid future incidents from occurring, the schedule shall be maintained and made available to licensing upon request.

  During the inspection conducted on 07/03/23, multiple mice droppings were observed in the School Age classroom and a mouse was caught during the classroom inspection. In addition, in the playground area, several gopher holes were observed, and staff expressed concerns with children being bitten by the rodents while playing outside. "This is an immediate Health and Safety Risk for the children in care" Pictures of school age closet ( clean)/restroom stall #3 (next to wall) and proof of independent contractor taking care of gopher problem is pending for review for CCLD.
